The shit has hit the fan here, the damage to the east side of the base is severe. The attackers gained access to a tunnel that ran under the bunker, they used explosives on the outer wall to gain access via the tactical room, Major Moore's office next door took some of the blast, its in ruins. With the Major still missing, the artifact stolen and half the marine roster in sick bay, the situation is out of fucking control. The list of suspects are huge all thanks to Doctor Ashbrink and his out of control experiments on the city's civilian populace. I'm going to squeeze this city hard until I get answers.

I still find it hard to believe that the UAC have funded this bunker on the basis of protecting the Artifact, which is a simple terraform device that crash landed in this god forsaken hole. The Intel I got from the Major was that the keys that are needed to activate the device were in possession of certain residents in the city. As long as this device sits here, the more trouble we get in.
It would seem that's not the only trouble we are having here in this post, a UAC Doctor by the name of Tres Ashbrink has had his clones operating within the city out of the bunker, his methods according to the city's populace are unsound. I can't complain myself I have already risen to the rank of Captain, I had no idea my post here would do this much for my career.

Well that's my sniper role done for the month, it's now up to the UAC to see if they are happy with the results. It's the first time in ages I have been given a mission with controversial targets, one of my targets was a pregnant woman to one of the local gang leaders, I didn't feel a thing. I've killed women and children. I've killed just about everything that walks or crawled at one time or another, just happy I've not gotten soft since the war.

Been spending the last 48 hours in this damn church tower overlooking the graveyard, seems to be a home for some art specialists that dwell within the city, however in my opinion they are more like a dark cult to me. Their pale faces and dark make up make them easier to spot in my scope, still don't know what the fuck is up with the dresses, it's like they are few hundred years behind the times.

Had my first mission handed to me today straight from the top. Seems the UAC has had reports of massive uprest within the city and want to experiment to see if they can shake things up. Operation: Disrupt and Disolve, pretty self explanatory for a mission title, at least it gives me a chance to use my sniper rifle again.

Well that was the worst dropship flight I have ever taken, seems the pilot got his c2-class pilot's license out of a ceral box. It was strange seeing the Major again, shes changed a lot since I served under her in China. Her introduction to the city was a eye opener, seems its a haven for rapists, killers, drug dealers, whores, ex-military, mutants and terrorists. This should be a interesting post....

Today I finally got my orders through and they have been a long time coming. So from the golden sunshine of our New Guantanamo Bay Training Facility I head off to the infamous Midian City to rejoin Major Moore. It's been a fair few years since I last laid my eyes on the Major, infact I remember exactly when....China, what a shit hole.
